This scheme involved the complete refurbishment and extension of an existing semi-detached Victorian villa. It showcases that charming spaces can coexist with modern sustainability, creating a home that is both timeless and forward-thinking. By utilizing the existing structure, we minimized the embodied carbon footprint, new energy-efficient heating and cooling systems were designed meticulously to be integrated into the existing to ensure comfortable living.

New structure above ground level allowed us to open up the existing layouts to provide generous, flowing spaces. The first floor is dedicated to a master suite, providing ‘his & hers’ dressing rooms and bathrooms . At the centre of the home, a sculptural and sweeping stair stands within a theatrical double-height timber panelled extension- conceived as a delicate ribbon, it has clay plastered balustrades and elegant solid brass handrail, resonating with bespoke bronze accents throughout the house. The furnishings have been selected to resonate with the spatial qualities of the architectural design. Natural and organic forms harmonise with the sculptural forms of the stair and free- flowing open-plan rooms. A curated mix of sculptural one-off pieces and collectibles sit within a contemporary selection of furniture to create an elegant home that blends architecture, interior design and artwork into a sophisticated composition. A restrained yet elegant palette of warm hues and natural textures conveying a sense of quality, tactility and luxury. A rich material palette composed of pigmented clay plaster, slurried-brickwork, stone, warm metals and timber finishes are blended to create a rich, yet calming and restrained, minimalist interior.
