Casa Flotante

Our project proposes to maintain the existing nature, we needed to get privacy from the access road and ensure views from the valley, so we considered burying part of the house and floating the rest over nature. Thus we get a house completely hidden from the outside and respect the existing pines.

The access is hidden to the street and semi-buried in the mountain. On the opposite side, the house flies over the valley and nature. The foundation is only located in the buried part of the house, the rest flies over the natural terrain so doesn’t affect the environment. A project that seeks NO invasion of the environment and maximum respect for the native nature. The house is developed in a unique space, divided by natural elements: water, vegetation... so we can understand the whole volumen with only one view. Likewise, the cantilevered volumes are set back on top of each other so as not to block sunlight.
