This recognition reaffirms our commitment to creating a resource for acceptance, affirmation, and empowerment in the form of a liberating and dignified space for Chicago's young LGBTQ+ community. We believe that architecture has the power to inspire and heal, and we are proud to weave the unique values and identities of Howard Brown and the communities it serves into the very fabric of this building. The patchwork façade, warm interiors, and trauma-informed design principles all come together to create a space where young people can truly heal, grow, and flourish.
