Bidisha Sinha

Bidisha was born in Damascus, raised in New Delhi and has been based professionally in the UK for almost 2 decades with a brief secondment to Hong Kong for a couple of years. She joined ZHA in the summer of 2005 and has more than a decade of experience delivering international architectural projects across all stages from design concept through to completion. Bidisha also has extensive experience liaising with public authorities and project stakeholders on high-profile projects around the world. Bidisha has been with ZHA since 2005. She has almost two decades of experience working on international projects through all works stages from concept to completion, stakeholder engagement, client liaison, and design quality control. At ZHA, she was the project architect for the 2011 RIBA Stirling Prize winner, Evelyn Grace Academy – a GBP 36m major education facility through all stages of design, delivery, including handover to the client in 2010 and a private mews residence with a highly bespoke design completed in 2017 among other projects. The Mathematics – 'The Winton Gallery' at the Science Museum in London completed in 2016, which received the RIBA award was developed and led by her as part of the realised work of ZHA's Computation Design Group benchmarking advanced fabrication techniques. In her remit as part of the senior leadership of the 'Interior Architecture Group' within ZHA, Bidisha is also responsible for the development of projects with a focus on high-end interior design at varying scales and typologies in UK, Asia and America, working closely with the ZHA's Head of Interior Architecture. Her current on-going projects include a large-scale student university residence, super luxury retail mall interiors and a collection of single-family residences and two museums.
